Evidence based product discovery
Everyone has been involved at some point in product discovery work where the decisions were based on opinions and with no data to back them up. The process of discovery backed up with evidence is brought by the GIST framework (Goals, Ideas, Steps, and Tasks).

Short versus long-term
Are we optimizing for short-term expected value or long-term knowledge? If your goal is durable, cumulative learning that powers better products over time, you should be very cautious about frameworks that explicitly trade away inference quality for earlier but shakier “wins.”

How to improve the UX maturity level
The results from moving the UX maturity level from 2 to 3:

Implemented user research & test panel

Dashboards are dead
In 2 years, KPI dashboards (as we know them) will be a thing of the past. Why? Because a new, agentic workflow for analytics is emerging, and it completely breaks the old model.
New Agentic Workflow:
Daily Slack/email brief: key KPIs plus plain-language insights
Automatic alerts with root-cause analysis when something moves
Deep dive by chatting with an agent, not clicking 12 filters
Get the “what, why, and now what” same morning, in one place
Microsoft Clarity Brand Agents
Plugin that is available with Shopify, adds a brand chat agent to the website. Upload brand reference docs to match tone/expertise.

Great curation this week. The GIST framework for evidence-based discovery is underrated, most teams still run on hippo-driven roadmaps. The piece on agentic workflows replacing dashboards is spot on too, we're basically moving from 'here's the data, figure it out' to 'heres what changed and why it matters' which is way more actionable.
